President’s message esteemed members of the Gujarat Orthopedic Association,
I am deeply humbled and honored to take on the role of President of our prestigious association. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for entrusting me with this responsibility. As we embark on this new journey together, I pledge to work tirelessly to promote the interests of our association and its members. Our mission will be to enhance the scientific exchange, education, and research in the field of orthopedics, ultimately benefiting our patients and the community.
Some of my key priorities will include:
- Enhancing continuing medical education and training opportunities for our members
- Fostering collaboration and networking among orthopedic professionals
- Advocating for policies and initiatives that promote excellence in orthopedic care
- Strengthening our association’s presence and influence at the state and national levels
I invite each of you to join me in shaping the future of our association. Your active participation, suggestions, and contributions will be invaluable in helping us achieve our goals.

The year 2024-25 has been a testament to our unwavering commitment to academic excellence and collaboration. As we step into 2025-26, Gujarat Orthopaedic Association (GOA) is poised to redefine orthopedic education and practice by integrating cutting-edge technologies like 3D printing, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Augmented Reality (AR), and Virtual Reality (VR).
Under the visionary leadership of Dr. Dinesh Thakkar, GOA continues to push boundaries, ensuring that our members stay at the forefront of global orthopedic advancements. This year, we embark on a journey where science meets technology, tradition blends with transformation, and expertise aligns with emerging innovations.
Our Mission for 2025-26:
- Pioneering Technological Integration – AI-powered diagnostic tools, AR & VR-based surgical simulations, and 3D-printed models for preoperative planning will be incorporated into our academic sessions and workshops.
- Expanding the GOA Fellowship Program – Offering structured, high-quality training to young surgeons in India and abroad, with specialized modules in digital orthopedics and robotic-assisted surgery.
- Strengthening Membership Drive – A renewed effort to bring non-member colleagues into the GOA family, emphasizing the benefits of networking, learning, and professional growth.
- Scientific Bulletin 2.0 – Our digital GOA Bulletin will be enhanced with interactive content, video-based case discussions, and expert columns to keep members engaged and informed.
- Collaborative Learning & Outreach – Partnerships with global organizations, research bodies, and tech companies to foster knowledge exchange and interdisciplinary advancements.
