GOA- KAOA MEDICOLEGAL CME REPORT

Gujarat Orthopaedic Association has always thought and acted upon some significant adjunct subjects which will be of immense value for all GOA members and Orthopedic surgeons of Gujarat.

Medico legal aspects and knowledge need constant updates for us. GOA motivated and inspired Kheda Anand Orthopedic Association to organise their planned Medico-legal CME under the larger canvas of GOA. The umbrella of GOA was designated to provide impetus to smaller zonal associations to become more active.

This one day CME was organised on 28th July at Shri Krishna Hospital, Karamsad under the joint auspices of GOA and KAOA. We had the privilege of accumulating information from well known faculties of the field. Dr. Sunil Joshi, Dr. Deepak Shah, Advocate Bhargav Hasurkar and Dr. Chetan Jani shared their insights and new laws and gave definitive tips and suggestions to face medico-legal issues. The CME was attended by about 60 delegates and there were considerable interactive discussions and deliberations as all of us are continuously going through these challenges and have our own protective measures to tackle difficult scenarios and avoid mishaps.

It was a great learning opportunity as we could all relate to practical life situations wherein  the adage of ‘ Prevention is better than cure’ is always essential.

President KAOA Dr. Niraj Shah, Secretaries Dr. Bhavin Rupera and Dr. Krutarth Shah led the team of eager and earnest hosts to conduct an engaging and efficient seminar with credibility. Congratulations and gratitude.

GOA ensured that it disseminates education beyond Orthopedics consistently to gain the confidence of its most coveted treasure- our members.
