GOA- OSR- ASAMI BASIC ILIZAROV WORKSHOP REPORT

It was indeed a unique scientific event held under the joint aegis of Gujarat Orthopaedic Association, Orthopedic Society of Rajkot and ASAMI, India.

The two day detailed basic workshop was focussed on learning and training methods, skills and techniques in Ilizarov surgeries. Renowned faculties of national and international repute including Dr. Mangal Parihar, Dr. Amar Soni and Dr. Ajit Patil were amongst the stalwarts who shared their understanding and acumen on this specialised topic in Orthopedics.

The venue was Hotel Imperial Palace at Rajkot. We had 60 delegates, who were diligently and dextrously trained by the watchful guidance of the fantabulous faculties. This workshop included pinpoint talks, video demonstrations,  tips and tricks, hands on workshops for all delegates and problem solving exercises as well. It was a comprehensive yet compact schedule tailored by ASAMI for graduated learning and was  immensely immersive.

As expected, the ultimate results and satisfaction among the attendees was gratifying. The hosts OSR with President Dr. Dinesh Chauhan and Secretary Dr. Pareen Kantesaria ably supported the ASAMI leaders Dr. Amar Soni and the dynamic and meticulous coordinator Dr. Kuldip Parmar. Their  commitment and passion led to the excellent implementation of the entire program.

GOA was once again the catalyst for this academic orchestra and as the co-host, GOA left no stone unturned for the success of this wonderful educational workshop.
